Extend and expand on our Block Building workshop to other topics central to work with unit blocks. Topics can include:

• Unit blocks and other open-ended materials

• Unit blocks and dramatic play

• Working with reluctant builder

• Routines that support block building and open-ended play

• The classroom environment

• The teacher’s role in an open-ended curriculum

• Building an integrated, social-studies based curriculum

• Teacher collaboration in an open-ended environment

• Drawing out “academic” connections from block play (can focus on math, language/reading, science and/or social studies)

Workshops can be held on site at your school or CPC can host your group.
